About Us

Established in 1983, HSCCL is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization serving the animals and people of Kaufman and Henderson counties and its surrounding municipalities. We rescue and care for more than 2,400 animals each year.

Mission: To promote the humane treatment of animals through care, education and advocacy. The Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake (HSCCL) provides shelter, food, medical treatment, and care to every animal that is brought to our facility. HSCCL receives no government funding and is not affiliated with any national or other humane organizations. We depend solely on the generosity of individual and corporate supporters to fund our programs and services.
